WELCOME TO THE CRITTER SKETCH CHALLENGE BLOG'S 100TH BLOG POST.

This is a time of pure excitement for me. It's so hard to believe that two years ago on February 15, 2010 this challenge blog was launched. Two years and 100 challenges later we are still going strong.

I want to thank everyone that has played a huge part in making this blog so successful. Thank you to our design team members, our sponsors, those that have created sketches and provided challenge ideas, and those that have made post for me when times in my life kept me from being able to do it.

Hello and welcome back. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with those you love. For those of you that live international. thank you for allowing us to celebrate our day. We sure did miss you and are happy to be back.
This week we have a special challenge for you. Our challenge is a DIGI CHALLENGE. What you need to do to enter our challenge is use an image from Digital Delight.

Happy Monday, I really hope and pray that if you live in the northeast or anywhere that has been experiencing the crazy weather with hurricanes and flood condtions that you are safe. I live in PA along the Susquehanna river. We have been very blessed that our home has only received small flooding in our basement but so many of our family and friends are effected a lot worse. I have been out of work since 12pm on Thursday and it's not looking hopeful to return before Tuesday. Please stay safe, we are thinking about you here at the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

Hi, I'm Moira and live on the west coast of beautiful British Columbia Canada. I started scrapbooking in 2008, the summer after I graduated university (I'm a teacher) and a year after we adopted our boys (who are now 13 & 14). My sister and sister in law had been bugging me to start, but I knew that once I did I would be addicted and my studies would suffer. Boy was I right ...... Addiction is a mild word for what I have! I scrapbook most days and could probably open a store with all the paper/embellishments etc that I have! (No word of a lie!!)

I'm definitely more of a scrapbooker than a card maker - but do make cards for birthdays and such for my large extended family. My scrapbooking style is varied.. I like to scrapbook EVERYTHING. I'm still working on our trip to Disneyland from 2009 and I'm currently at 150 pages. I should mention I scrap two copies of everything, so that is really 300 pages!!

We will be excepting creations from August 10th to August 31st

The term will run from October 3rd to January 30th

We will be taking a break the weeks of November 21st and December 26th

You will be expected to make a project with specified challenges every other week (we break the group into two groups)

Wow does the time ever fly!!! It's hard to believe we are nearing the end of August, kids are heading back to school, and temps are starting to drop. It's starting to feel more and more like fall every day.

Happy April everyone! Is it starting to feel like spring where you are? Here in Pa. it's been pretty chilly and then today it's suppose to be hitting the low 70's. I don't get it....crazy weather! But I'll take all the 70's I can get!

Morning everyone! I'm still pretty tired today so if I make some mistakes...please forgive me! I have been having a horrible time sleeping lately and I'm dragging a bit this morning...well...it's now noon here in Germany.

Inspiration

I have a photo here for you all to look at! If you are anything like me you live for summer. I honestly LIVE for SUMMER! And if I could afford it, I'd live in a house on the beach. I have been in Germany for 4 1/2 years and have not seen the beach in that many years and let me just say....it's KILLING ME!!! We finally are leaving and making our way to N.C. and my first trip is going to be to my 2nd favorite beach...Myrtle Beach!!! Sooooo....this photo is suppose to inspire you! Showe me how it inspires you....the colors, the scene, the thoughts of laying on a tropical beach....however it inspires you let me see it through your creation!!!

Now on to how this photo inspired our DT:

I love this DP...it totally reminds me of the beautiful waves at the beach.

Well....it's pretty easy to see the inspiration here...I just love that map all colored in! And we can't miss little Riley sitting off to the side of the card ;-)

Michele:

Okay, I don't like to claim favorites but I can't help it today..........look at this lush paper and colors....ahhhhh....I swear I'm sitting at the beach looking out at that clear blue water right now. I mean the image itself has nothing to do with the picture but that's fine this is why I say you can let the picture inspire you in any way....for this one I can see it's the colors that inspired her.....it's those colors and that DP....man...I'm in love!

Okay, this is a really adorable image and I loe that circle die cut and those colors go great for this challenge.

Tammy:

Isn't that flower soooo pretty?! And that pretty green paper and the glittery DP...love it!

Such a tropical look to this...I feel like I'm in Hawaii when I look at this card. Even the DP reminds me of that.

Don't you just love to see how one picture can be "seen" by 6 different people?! I can't wait to see what all of you come up with!
